My design experience spans in-house corporate, publishing and design studio freelance. I'm a strategic designer with a passion for finding smart and unique solutions. Print is my first love but I've been designing and directing for multi-media and web for over seven years as well.

Branding, identity systems, product catalogs, sales brochures, ground-up national ad campaigns, elaborate invitations, event collateral, tradeshow booths, e-communication strategies, templates and websites. I've done it all and I love it.

Like so many other designers out there, I became a designer (B.F.A. Graphic Design, 1998) as a means of paying my way through life as an artist. I fell so hard for design though, it's actually only in the last few years that I've taken up side art projects again.

The culprit for this long hiatus is my tendency to find the 'art' aspect in so many design solutions; whether it's the paper, illustration, photography, fold, typography, or more than likely, a combination of elements.

My name is Jill Kuczmarski and I am a designer, artist and author.

I've gone through many redesigns of this website over the years and had really only ever utilized it as a digital catalog for my portfolio until now. While I'll still have a few portfolio pieces up at any given time, I'll now use this site as a portal to my side projects and a catalog of interests.

This will also be a place for me to journal about my self-publishing endeavor, my print making explorations, Happy the Hodag, and any other artistic up taking.

Before now all of these things were kept separate from one another. I now am putting them all under one umbrella. The only common denominator any of these things have is my collective experiences and interests.
